Complementary Businesses – Castlemaine Victoria

https://www.rodshop.com.au/

The Castlemaine Rod Shop has been operating in the Castlemaine for many decades long before the internet and online sales (established in 1976). Other businesses in the area have also grown due to supplying goods and services to the Rod Shop. These businesses complement each other and have successful relationships.

In 1976, the only way of advertising was through magazines in Australia and being listed in a phone book. In 1976, every post office had the phone books for every region in Australia – they still do today!

Meet the owners

Now we look at the other businesses that complement the shop.

A 40 year old business that is successful needs a new warehouse when online sales increase its footprint. The ‘burn out’ pad is a great way for the business to demonstrate its products and keeps everything legal.

And finally. Merchandise – where does it come from? More examples of complementary businesses in Victoria.
